Your Next Dr. Pepper May Be on Axl Rose

Just what the record label ordered.
Just what the record label ordered.

A while back, Dr. Pepper promised to give away free soda if Guns N’ Roses actually released its fourteen-years-in-the-making Chinese Democracy in 2008. According to music blog Rock Radio, the album has finally been delivered to the label, meaning that you may soon be able to redeem an online coupon for a twelve-ounce bevy. Chris Kooluris, of Ketchum, creators of the promotion, tells us Cadbury Schweppes hasn’t calculated the cost of giving away a can to every American except traitorous former guitarists Slash and Buckethead (we’re told a Dr. Pepper lunch box has been dispatched to new guitarist Bumblefoot), but we doubt it’ll approach the rumored $13 million it cost to record Chinese Democracy.
