Alison Nelson’s Chocolate Bar is opening its East Village location next Monday (it’ll also open in Qatar and Dubai in the fall — no joke) and its publicist wants to make sure you know exactly where it’ll be: “The award-winning candy store for grown ups announces the Grand Opening of its new East Village location at 127 East 7th Street between First Avenue and Avenue A (right next to the Peter Jarema Funeral Home).” (Perplexed bolding is ours.) So, to reiterate, in order to snag your grand-opening specials you may have to plow through the grieving bereft and confront your own mortality. That said — half-price drip coffee and espresso for the month of July!
