Just when Newsday said it was safe to go back to the Frying Pan, amNY gives word that the riverboat’s summer opening will be delayed yet again. Quoth the paper’s Urbanist blog: “ ‘It’s just day by day,’ [owner John Krevey] said, and then proceeded to unspool a Kafkaesque nightmare involving Certificate of Occupancy permits, which we will, mercifully, spare you.” Eventually, the Frying Pan will be back to its cacophonous, vibrating, waterside self, and we’ll let know when it absolutely, positively opens for business.
