Along with K.F. Seetoh, author of a guide to Singapore dining, they’ll show how to make dishes like Hokkien prawn noodles, Singaporean laksa chicken curry, and fried carrot cake (actually made from stir-fried daikon, soy sauce, eggs, garlic, and spring onion). The $30 admission fee (register by calling 866-462-2838) gets you a free copy of Singaporean cookbook Timeless Recipe and — the advantage of not being on the street when you eat this stuff — free Tiger beer.
