Barry Mullineaux, last seen at the helm of defunct West Chelsea nightclub Stereo, is back on the scene with a very un-Stereo-like project. This week he again partners with Giuseppe Tuosto (they previously worked together on Rocco’s la Playa in the Hamptons and Danielle at 21 Water) to open Via Dei Mille. Chef Emanuele Simenoi, previously an owner of Barbaluc, will prepare Stuzzichini-style “rustic Italian” dishes (wait, didn’t Carmellini just tell us that rustic Italian was kind of a myth?). You can preview the menu below, but the question is this — will the owners, with their nightlife backgrounds, be able to lure some of the Lamborghinis away from Cipriani nearby? We shall see.
