Charles Will Open (to Select Few?) October 20
Eater dropped into that Charles preview dinner, and while it confirmed some of the details that consulting chef John DeLucie shared with us earlier, it didn't manage to get a decent photo. Owners Doug Akin and Cobi Levy are taking a Beatrice-like anti-photography stance and, per this report, they’re also hoping the place will be “super exclusive with a Waverly Inn–like resy policy.” So will celebs now be vanishing into a Bermuda Triangle–like trifecta of hot spots in the West Village (Waverly, Beatrice, Charles)? We’ll find out when Chucky comes out to play on October 20.
