Vero Opens Midtown Location

Vero Panini & Wine Bar, that touch of class amid the Southern Hospitalities and Brother Jimmy’s BBQs of the Upper East Side, has opened a second location in midtown east. As with the uptown spot, panini will be free on Mondays with the purchase of a drink (glasses range from $9 to $17, bottles start at $36), but this location also features an expanded food menu. You’ll now find full-fledged plates ranging from short-rib tacos to gnocchi with foie gras and black-truffle sauce. Sommelier Storme Woode (no relation to the adult-film actor — at least, we assume there’s an adult-film actor) is overseeing the 2,200-bottle wine cellar and will start teaching classes in the space next month.
