Brooklyn’s CB2 Thinks of the Children

By

Brooklyns Community Board 2 unanimously opposed a liquor license for the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory last week, but the owner hasnt given up his boozy dream. Owner Mark Thompson told the Brooklyn Paper that he only wants a liquor license for catering purposes. The board was wary of serving alcohol at a shop frequented by children. But will they be wary about a methadone clinic on Hoyt Street? The landlord who owns the building that Jim Mamary wanted to turn into an oyster bar is advertising for a health-services tenant, like a needle-exchange or methadone clinic. So, neighbors how do you like them oysters?
