Now that the maple-syrup mystery has been solved (sort of), here’s a new one: Joe Bastianich tells Diner’s Journal that a $4,000 banana eel has gone inexplicably missing from the John Dory’s fish tank. One theory: “He jumped out of the tank and went to the Spotted Pig for dinner.” [Diner’s Journal/NYT]
