Julian Niccolini of The Four Seasons told Gourmet that the day before Valentine’s is a busy one, and now another GM chimes in: “Every year customers at cozy One if by Land, Two if by Sea make two reservations during Valentine’s week — and ask the staff to pretend that they didn’t see them the first time around. ‘We do have people, and they tell you not to say anything,’ says general manager Rosanne Martino. ‘They don’t want you to say you saw them earlier.’” [NYDN]
