Speculation: Hara in at Oak Room, Dallas’s John Tesar in at David Burke

At SoBe, John Tesar, formerly of Dallas’s Mansion at Turtle Creek, told Lush Life that he’s doing two new projects with David Burke. Given Eric Hara’s reported departure, could this be Fishtail and David Burke Townhouse? Tesar has spent some time in New York, at 44 X Hell’s Kitchen, and considers David Burke one of his mentors. He told Starchefs.com’s Chefs to Know that his favorite flavor is “the flavor of the sea.” Meanwhile, Gastrodamus has this: “Now the spirits are telling me to connect two pieces of news — the departure of Eric Hara from longstanding mentor David Burke, and the ejection of Joel Antunes from The Oak Room — and make an educated guess, based on divinations passed along by a kindred spirit living at the Plaza Hotel, that Hara will be the new chef at the Oak Room.”

Update: Diner’s Journal confirms that Hara is on board at the Oak Room and will introduce a cheaper menu of “reinvented American classics” on March 18
