The Rainbow Room and Tavern on the Green (which Capitale’s Seth Greenberg tells the Observer he’s interested in taking over) aren’t the only hallowed spaces making a comeback. Last summer we reported that Danny Kane was planning to revive the long-vacant Biltmore Room. Now Steve Lewis reveals that the Gates, as the D.J. lounge serving new American cuisine will be called, will open next month: “Redd Stylez will serve as promotional director, and he tells me that they will have an ‘ambassador program’ where qualified friends and fabulous folk will have special access and privileges. This will allow the joint to forego the use of dreaded promoters.”
