With the blogs exchanging volleys over pre-opening coverage of Michael White’s Marea (Metromix has food photos! The Feed chimes in with news about a crudo bar! The ’bag drops the renderings bomb! And then doubles back with more food photos!), Eater decides to get in on the action by throwing up one of its inscrutable construction-site shots. In this one instance, the abstract plywood art is a welcome reminder that, despite all the hoopla, the place is a ways from opening. Meanwhile, the Feed also gets in on another slow reveal (Dutch Kills, which we’ve been covering since before the Feed was born!) by photographing the doorknob and a name plate. Though we have to admit, it’s a pretty cool doorknob.
