Despite the bribery raid, the SLA apparently still has time to read Grub Street. After our item ran informing readers that Emporio will be BYOB until it gets its liquor license, the Authority extended its long arm. A restaurant rep writes in: “Emporio was just informed by the SLA that it is also illegal to allow their customers [to] bring in their own wine. They are hoping to get the license in the next week. They will still be open for food service only.” Bummer, though we can’t say we didn’t see it coming.
