Café Noir Will Vacate Home of a Decade

On the heels of Good World’s sad good-bye (incidentally, Eater reports that its sister establishment, White Slab Palace, is already expanding), we’re sorry to bring news that Café Noir, a bustling Soho institution for over a decade, doesn’t have much longer at its current location. The restaurant’s space is on the market. A manager says the landlord would only renew the lease for two years and was asking for too much, so the owner is trying to sign a deal elsewhere. The current location is expected to close and hopefully reopen immediately, at a location TBD, in August or September. Rest assured they’re aiming for a corner space with windows, in Soho.
