BYOB Alert: A First Look at Spice of Astor Place
Photo: Melissa Hom
Why go to Spice’s new Astor Place location instead of the others? Well for one, it’s BYOB (a liquor license is expected within a week, but you know how that goes). And for another, the menu (as we showed you earlier today) is vastly expanded, with new fried rices (spicy green curry, hot chile sour) and noodles (Massaman crispy, Malay, tamarind cashew nut). This location will be open Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. till 10:45 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. till 11:30 p.m. We can’t reproduce the electronica/house soundtrack, but check out our photo gallery to see what Spice’s hip-happenin’ interior designers have done this time around.
