The Hudson Terrace (not to be confused with the Hudson Sky Terrace) already has a buzzy brunch, but on May 5 it’ll open for happy hour for the first time, with two-for-one cocktails from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. Will this become the next 230 Fifth? Owners Michael Sinensky and Sean McGarr have tapped their chef at Vintage Irving, Jason Bunin, to create an upscale bar menu consisting of duck-confit quesadillas and smoked-salmon nachos served with caviar. Of course you can get frozen bevvies and caipirinhas in pitchers, and the programmers are really going all-out — as in, live cover bands on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. till 10 p.m., and steel drums on Saturdays from 3 p.m. till 10 p.m. This is bound to be one helluva hot mess. See the menus (including the brunch prix fixe) below.
