Brokelyn asks a bunch of laptop users what they’re working on at Café Grumpy. Hmmm, why didn’t they go to Ninth Street Espresso, where they’d at least get a peek at Daniel Pinchbeck’s latest tome? Anyway, we totally want to do this at Sycamore, except we’d ask people what they’re reading — there seems to be some sort of unwritten rule that you have to enter that bar (and especially the back garden) with a book, or better yet a Kindle. Publishing-world cruisers, this is definitely the place to show off your advance copy of the Bruni memoir.
