Kiddie Foodies Get a Restaurant Week of Their Own

Today Gael Greene offers some advice to a 10-year-old duck-confit lover who wants to be a food critic — “Sell your own cupcakes door-to-door or invent a new computer game so you can afford great restaurants and overseas travel.” Well, little Oscar can save some money between June 20 and June 28, when Kids’ Restaurant Week gives parents the chance to eat from $29 prix fixe menus while their kids pay their age (a portion of the proceeds goes to the Food Bank for New York City). The list of restaurants is pretty respectable — DBGB, Telepan, Artisanal, and for the leather-pants-wearing meatpacker kid, Los Dados. Adult diners who don’t like riffraff, you may want to avoid these restaurants during these times.
