LeNell Leaves New York After Exhausting Real- Estate Hunt

Anthony Mangieri isn’t the only one who’s burned out on New York — last night at a whiskey tasting at Louis 649, Tonya “LeNell” Smothers of defunct LeNell’s told a crowd that she had given up the search for a new space — “I’m tired and I can’t do it anymore.” LeNell says she plans to open a cocktail bed-and-breakfast in Mexico — “Instead of me working 90 hours a week to barely make $40,000 a year, now it can go to rent for some guy that lives in a big fat house on the beach somewhere.” We hear you, sister.
