The Lucy Browne’s po’ boy isn’t the only one that was added to the city’s dining landscape this week — as promised, Sherry Delamarter has opened an outpost of Cowgirl Hall of Fame in her home neighborhood, near the South Street Seaport. She tells us the menu is a mix of “Cowgirl’s greatest hits” (meaning southern and southwestern dishes prepared by her chef of twenty years, Ignacio Dimas) as well as seafood comfort dishes (think clam fritters in lieu of Cowboy’s corn fritters). Of course, there are also frozen margaritas as well as fresh-fruit drinks like the Ethyl Mermaid. In addition to the lunch and dinner menus below, breakfast will launch in a couple of weeks with dishes such as biscuits, gravy, and eggs, as well as French toast rolled in Cap’n Crunch cereal and deep fried. As you can see in the slideshow, the décor is likewise a mix of western and nautical, with Seahorse motorboat engines suspended from the ceiling, light fixtures made from wooden pulleys, acrylic seahorses, and antler chandeliers.
