Meatpacking Makeover: Los Dados Trims Hours, Double Seven Slated for Fall

This week, Los Dados stopped serving lunch Mondays through Wednesdays. With Merkato seemingly dark next to it (we cruised by on Sunday and indeed saw it shuttered), we worried that might be a bad sign, but owner David Rabin assures us of the opposite: Business has picked up significantly since the High Line opened, and they’re merely carving out some downtime to do repair work in the bar and kitchen. Early-week lunch service will be back in September. Plus, you can add this bit of news to our meatpacking preview: Rabin’s other joint, Double Seven, is finally — finally — under construction in the old Rhone space and may open in late November.
