Platt Preview: Monkey Bar

We’ve been waiting and waiting to see what Adam Platt thought of Monkey Bar, and that day is finally here. “In many ways, the new Monkey Bar … is a perfectly constructed celebrity flytrap,” says Platt in his one-star review. But “the situation in the kitchen has not improved” with Larry Forgione’s arrival. Our critic concludes: “Monkey Bar lacks the kind of solid, crowd-pleasing cooking that makes the Waverly Inn such a hit downtown.”
