Press releases for a few megatastings landed in our in-box today. Soldier forth for details about this year’s Joy of Sake, the Chocolate Show, and (our favorite) International Pickle Day.

What: Joy of Sake
When: September 24, 6 p.m. till 9 p.m.
Where: Webster Hall
What’s New: In addition to the opportunity to sample from 271 sakes (almost half of them unavailable in the U.S. and some of them award winners at the North American Sake Appraisal), you’ll get bites from restaurants like Bond St., Matsugen, Sakagura, and others. This year, you’ll also get a chance to sample a dish from Hung Huynh’s new project, Ajna Bar.
Price: $80 in advance, $90 at the door. Order tickets online or by calling 888-799-7242.

What: Ninth Annual NYC International Pickle Day
When: October 4
Where: Parking lot on Broome Street between Essex and Ludlow
What’s New: “More free pickle samples ranging from India to Haiti, Malaysia to Brooklyn, and kosher dills from our very own LES!” Most exciting: There will be canning demos, pickles from the New York Science Barge, music from accordion trio Main Squeeze, and a parade complete with costume contest, though take note — costumes have to be “family friendly.”
Price: Free. More information here.

What: The Chocolate Show
When: October 30 to November 1
Where: Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street
What’s New: In addition to the usual 800 exhibitors, there’ll be cooking demos from the likes of Jacques Torres and Johnny Iuzzini, a signing of the Max Brenner cookbook, and a Chocolate Beauty Pavilion, where you can get choco manis and pedis.
Price: $28 online, $30 at the door. More info here.
