According to the Post, the Sant Ambroeus team’s 162-seat Italian restaurant in Lever House will open Monday, a week ahead of the October 19 date we were given recently. As previously noted, Sant Ambroeus corporate chef Mario Danieli will oversee the kitchen, which Cuozzo says will consist of four chefs, three of them from the Milan region. The menu, which will resemble the one at Sant Ambroeus, is still coming together, but we know that appetizers will range from $12–18, pasta dishes from $16–$22, and entrées from $26–$45. Dishes will include veal Milanese, pasta alla Bolognese, grilled whole fishes, and a crudo section inspired by the Milanese fish markets. Take a look at our slideshow to see what owners Gherardo Guarducci and Dimitri Pauli have done with one of the city’s most unique dining rooms.
