Charles Names Jason Zukas Temporary Chef

Charles, which launched brunch back in August, has announced that Jason Zukas will fill in for its executive chef Kristine Mana-ay while she’s on maternity leave. Zukas, a self-taught Queens native, was previously a chef at André Balazs’s Sunset Beach on Shelter Island, and won the second-season premiere of Chopped. Before that, he worked at Ouest, La Bottega, and Blue Water Grill.
