Bibimbap and ‘MMMBop’: Karaoke Boho Opens in West Village

Karaoke Boho, the Sing Sing spinoff we told you about back in April, soft opened a few days ago in the old Polly Esther’s space. Manager Joel Kim says that when his liquor license comes in (hopefully late next month), he’ll open the front café for lunch at 11 a.m., and waitresses will serve traditional Korean food like bibimbap and light noodle dishes to the karaoke suites. Those consist of a dozen rooms downstairs and eight upstairs, including an enormous suite that fits 30 and expands to fit 40. Rooms are $10 per person per hour (they’re half off during the soft opening) and you can also karaoke at the bar, from a songbook (viewable on Boho’s website) that culls 2,000 of Sing Sing’s most popular tunes.
