Prime Beef: Scenes From the Burger Bash

Friday was a beautiful, balmy night for burger fiends to congregate in Brooklyn and unabashedly feast on seventeen of the city's best offerings, while imbibing endless amounts of Blue Moon beer. Defending champion Katie Lee was on hand with her winning patty melt from last year, but in the end she was no match for Spike Mendelsohn and his Prez Obama Burger, which the judges picked as their favorite. The People's Choice Award — determined by attendees via text-message vote — went to Josh Capon of Lure Fishbar.
