As expected, the city is suing Tavern on the Green for its name, which is estimated to be worth $19 million. The LeRoy family trademarked it in 1981 (fraudulently, the suit will argue, since the city didn’t know about it and since the restaurant had been named Tavern since long before the LeRoy era).
