Performa 09’s edible artwork isn’t the only inspired merging of art and food. Artwork such as Programmed Hive #7 (a sculpture made from a mounted beehive) is currently on display at “Don’t Perish,” an exhibition at the Leo Koenig gallery. If you go, bring canned food for the gallery’s makeshift pantry, which is destined for the Food Bank of New York. Or bring a dish to one of the gallery’s potluck dinners. One of them is tonight and the last one is this Saturday.
