Loreley Aims to Open Williamsburg Beer Garden Next Month

While Williamsburgers anxiously await the opening of Fatty ’Cue (the latest is early December), we’ve learned that another Manhattan destination has been quietly renovating a former gas station off of the Lorimer stop. Loreley, the banging beer garden on the Lower East Side, is nearing the end of construction at 64 Frost Street and hopes to clinch a certificate of occupancy by the first week of next month. Loreley Williamsburg will have more or less the same menu of sausages and traditional German dishes as its sister, with twelve seasonally rotating beers on tap. The front biergarten will be larger than the original’s, and retractable front windows will make it easy for the patio scene to spill into the large dining room, which will be outfitted with wooden fixtures similar to Loreley’s. The above Google maps image shows you the gas station in its pre-rehabilitation state — we’ll show you its new incarnation when the finishing touches are complete.
