Openings Preview: First Look at Purple Yam
Elvie's may have closed, but Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld bring good news for Filipino-food lovers in next week's magazine: Purple Yam is ready to open Tuesday in Ditmas Park, as a slideshow and menu attest. The owners hail from the now-closed Soho spot Cendrillion: “Although traces of Cendrillon remain, like the signature Philippine adobo and barbecued ribs, they’re joined by a coterie of new Korean-inspired dishes.”
