General Greene Opens In-House Grocery

When General Greene set up a snack stand inside of Santos Party House, it was clear the NBC’er was open to new things. Now, perhaps inspired by Marlow & Sons or the shop-restaurant hybrids mentioned in the December issue of Bon Appétit, they’ve converted an area previously used for staff bicycle parking into General Greene Grocery, a specialty shop offering high-end goods as well as delicacies created by pastry chef Nicholas Morgenstern and executive chef Julie E. Farias. Here’s some of what you can find there.

Ham and Gruyere bread pudding
House made granola
House made baby food (using in season fruits and vegetables from the farmers market)
House made hummus
House made pastries (daily muffins, scones, banana breads etc)
House made pickles
Acme smoked fish (trout, herring, salmon)
Counter Culture Coffee
Select Meats and Cheeses (Benton’s Ham)
Fresh Herbs
Select Seasonal Produce
Nora Mills Grits
Canned & jarred goods (olive oils, anchovies, etc.)
Vintage Candies

Starting December 21, the General Greene Grocery will be open from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
