Robert Opens at MAD

Last week the Guggenheim got a restaurant, and today it’s the Museum of Arts & Design’s turn. Robert, named for legendary party-planner Robert Isabell, who died earlier this year, offers views of Columbus Circle and may be the first restaurant that boasts a video-art installation, a “sound wave” at the communal table, and two lighting installations. The food — contemporary American fare with Mediterranean influences — will be prepared by Union Prime alum Brady Duhane. The restaurant will be open for lunch, tea, and dinner, as well as late-night cocktails. Preview the menus, and see more of the space, below.
