A Call for Pickled Sausages

Dinner Party is sharing its love for pickle pinwheels today, so we’re chiming in with our love of another pickle-pork combo: pickled sausages! Meaning, cooked sausages jarred in pickle brine. These particular ones are a product of Johnson’s Premium Sausage of Elmira, New York — you can buy them by the jar (in normal and garlic varieties) or just snag one for $1.50 per link (or spear?) from the giant tub that sits on the counter at Elmira’s Dandy Mini Mart. Look for the live-bait vending machine outside, and like the pickle/sausage jar says, treat yourself to the best!
