While Eve Aronoff, the second cheftestant to be eliminated last season, prepares to open a Latin American restaurant in Ann Arbor, fellow cheftestant Eli Kirshtein is now ensconced at Solo, the Kosher restaurant where Hung Huynh previously served time. Tablet shows him preparing a tu b’shevat persimmon salad as the music from Top Chef plays, for old time’s sake. Looks like he’s having fun, but you know he wishes he were Michael Voltaggio, who recently went on a $100,000 shopping spree at Macy’s.
