Dan Barber Adds Another Award to Backyard Honors Heap

First he was a Time 100 honoree. Last month, he spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos. And now Blue Hill’s Dan Barber is “Character Approved,” an honor USA Networks and Vanity Fair will bestow upon him later this month. “The 2010 honorees are innovators in their field who are influencing our opinions, our style, and our view of the world. They’re celebrated by their peers and their fresh, authentic ideas both surprise and inspire us,” USA Networks rhapsodizes. Also in Barber’s class this year: fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez, Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow, Green Day, and the guys who invented Guitar Hero.
