What up, broseph! The former Irving Mill has friggin’ strapped on a pair and will reopen as the sixth location of Brother Jimmy’s next Monday. This bad boy was still coming together when we popped in for photos, but we’re assured that aside from the usual dude-bait (Jack Daniel's barrels, license plates on the bar, and, of course, those ginormous flat-screens), the kitsch factor at this location will be dialed down (no sports memorabilia, for starters).
The emphasis at this and future BJ's locations will be more on dining than Jäeger bombing. To wit, the bar area is smaller, and corporate chef Eva Pesantez has added new menu items like cornmeal-fried oysters, catfish po’ boys, pan-fried red fish with scallion grits, and chipotle-glazed pork chops. Check out the menu, the space, the new dishes, and prepare for sidewalk hottie spotting convivial alfresco noshing in the summer.
