We already knew the Papaya King on 14th Street would be replaced by a bagel store and deli, but here’s sad evidence of the scrubbing. The neon glory of Papaya King (or Papa King, as the burnt-out letters sometimes had it) is gone, baby, gone. If the proprietors of Hot & Fresh Bagel & More are reading this, won’t you please let us know when that sweet soft-serve decal hits eBay?
