Celebrity chefs have become pulp-fiction fodder, and of course they’ve also been well represented on television crime shows. The latest to fall back on the trope is The Mentalist. Check out this unintentionally hilarious teaser for a “tasty new episode” (titled “Red Herring,” naturally) in which “the team investigates the murder of an arrogant chef during a Napa Valley cooking competition.” Insert joke about overcooked story line here.
