Market Takeout Stand Opens at Grand Hyatt

The Grand Hyatt in midtown opened a small food stand called Market in its lobby today that could be an answered prayer both to those who eschew room service and midtown workers who despair of their lunch options. The space was designed by Bentel & Bentel — who also did Gramercy Tavern and the Modern. The uniforms are J.Crew, and the food options are “locally-sourced essentials,” says the hotel. Look for Roasting Plant coffee and desserts from Chikalicious, as well as hot food and sandwiches. If all goes well, the Hyatt could put a fancy food stand in all of its hotels.
