A posting indicates that Bored to Death is filming in the East Village this week (Ted Danson acts out his midlife crisis at the embattled Lit?), but more intriguing, we’re told that the Smurfs movie (yes, the Smurfs movie) is filming at the Bourgeois Pig all today and tonight. East 7th Street is blocked off so that Neil Patrick Harris can shoot a scene in which he’s “running out chasing some girl.” True to earlier reports about the movie (a mix of live action and animation), NPH is not in a Smurfs costume, alas.
