Pop Burger Creator Gives Veranda a Mediterranean Upgrade

By Friday, Kevin OConnell, who created Pops mini-burgers when he was executive chef there and then went on to partner in Wall Street Burger Shoppe, will introduce a new menu to Veranda, the West Village hookah lounge that doormen and managers from nightspots like Suzie Wongs and the Pink Elephant opened a few months ago in the space that was briefly Tasca. Yes, therell be a burger, and itll be a lamb burger, in keeping with the Mediterranean focus (youll also be able to get Lamb Three Ways chops, sausages, and shoulder).
