A press release brings news that Adam Schop, previously executive chef at Douglas Rodriguez's Chicago restaurant De La Costa, will finally open Nuela in the old Sapa space in June: “The former Sapa space now glows with energetic red hues and industrial accents. The design includes a central 50-seat cevicheria showcasing the beating heart of Schop’s menu featuring the flavors and traditions of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. The festive menu also features empanadas, composed entrées [platos] and large plates to share [para la mesa].” Contrary to rumors that were floating around two years ago, Rodriguez will not be involved in the project.
