Foraging and Fund-raising With New Amsterdam Market

In anticipation of its second full season of convening regional farmers, purveyors, and chefs at the Seaport, New Amsterdam Market is hosting a benefit at New York Marble Cemetery. Food and drink come from the likes of Marlow & Daughters, Mother-in-Law’s Kimchee, and Princeton’s Bent Spoon ice-cream parlor, and your $35 ticket also covers admission to a morning market of wild botanicals that you won’t find at the local Greenmarket: exotica like cattail hearts, wood nettles, pepperwort, and pine buds (May 22; tickets and information at newamsterdampublic.org; wild-food market alone is $5 at the door).
