Back in March, when chef Joel Dennis left Adour Alain Ducasse, reps wouldn’t confirm the rumor we first reported, that his replacement would be Didier Elena, the Monaco-born chef who helped open Alain Ducasse at the Essex House in 2000 as chef de cuisine (and then went on to helm a couple of two-starred restaurants in France). Now the Daily News makes it official: Elena will attempt to win back the star lost under Dennis’s watch.
