Goods, the Williamsburg trailer-cum-restaurant run by art collective 3rd Ward, slings its first soft-opening grass-fed burgers today. (The official opening is June 19.) “I’m from New Orleans myself,” chef Alex McCrery tells Daily Candy in a video interview. “I personally wanted to bring some of the flavors and exciting things from New Orleans that the people of Brooklyn haven’t really been able to see yet. Things like gumbo, and the beignets you’ll see on our breakfast menu.” Goods posted a menu, but there’s no gumbo on it yet. It’s limited to the promised “American classics” of burgers, dogs, and fish and chips, as well as a fried chicken Sunday brunch. [Daily Candy NY]
