Jacques Torres Sells Crêpes to Undersweetened Brooklynites


Ooh, la-la! Jacques Torres, that ubiquitous chocolatier, is giving sugarholics something else to go wild-eyed about: handmade crpes cooked to order at his Dumbo ice-cream shop. The crpes were introduced less than two weeks ago, and Torres partner Ken Goto is training staffers on proper swirling techniques. (Torres, the former executive pastry chef at Le Cirque, created the crpes.) The crpes are available with sugar and butter ($4.50), with chocolate ($5.50), and la mode (one scoop of your choice, $6.50).
