Central Park is looking for a few good food carts. The city wants four fancy food carts to vend on the patio of the former Tavern on the Green, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Parks Department will solicit bids from vendors serving “slightly more high-quality food” a member of Manhattan’s Community Board 7 said. That means no hot dogs. But how about lobster rolls? Red Hook Lobster Pound lost a cart contract to Ditch Plains in Brooklyn Bridge Park this year. Central Park is nice, too. Leave your vendor wish list in the comments.
