Ted & Honey to Serve Adult Beverages in July

Move over, strollers. Cobble Hill mama-and-papa fave Ted & Honey is busting out the booze. Brother-sister duo Michelle Mannix and Chris “Ted” Jackson tell Grub Street that they’ll have a liquor license by July. The café is now known as a stroller-and-writer packed haunt, but that could change daily at 5:30 p.m. when the bar in the back begins serving Sixpoint and beer flights, white sangria, beer cocktails, and pizzas featuring Jackson’s house-smoked cold-smoked salmon and meats — as well as handmade mozzarella. Also look for small plates featuring locally sourced goods. Mannix says she’s going for a “salon feel,” and that even an alcohol-serving Ted & Honey is “not going to be a place where you go and get loaded — I mean, you can — more like a place where you get a casual wine or beer.”
